Digital Cameras contain a full operating system that handles Input/Output operations on a FAT based file system. If your digital camera storage media is corrupt and you may get the message "Media is not formatted".In digital cameras, one single corruption in the FAT (File Allocation Table) can cause your camera to ignore valid data that follows. Some cameras become confused when structures different from what they expected or are unable to switch safely from FAT-12 to FAT-16. When this happens fat recovery software is an option.
Recovery Data Issues
Your camera's simple operating system may not be able to handle the perfectly normal situations created by a sequence of file deletion, creation and moves under it’s operating system. For example, this can happen simply when you shut down your camera at the wrong moment. .
